Redmane, Archreckoner

Character
edit edit sourceRedmane is considered the leading Reckoners of the Reckoner Clan (Minotaurs of the Stormlands). For his old age he holds the honorary title of Archreckoner, showing the high respect others of his clan have for him. His first Namen is not the one he was given at birth but is due to his appearance, since the fur on his head was severely burned and just red flesh can be seen instead of fur. His Catchphrase is: "Everything for the Clan".

Looks
edit edit sourceA Medium sized Minotaur with grey fur and a burned head were red skin shows. He has golden eyes and perfectly, upwards curved horns, an attribute to be considered a form of beauty among Minotaurs. For a Minotaur he is Medium sized and has an athletic physique rather than a bulky one. Like other Reckoners he wears full plate armor, in his case painted in pale gold and red with magical symbol on it, a sign for experience or great deeds. He wears a red cape, also a sign of high standing among the Reckoners. On his side he wears a long sword and a leather bound book.
Personality: Lawfull Good
edit edit sourcePro's: Civilized, polite, honorable, all for the Reckoners.
Con's: Plagued by dark secret, Protective of that secret.
Redmane is all things considered a very nice person and a powerful ally if needed. His dark secret though can be a reason for conflict if it comes out and is not handled delicately. He was once the bodyguard of Lebos but activeley refused the order of his king for help when he was cut down by members of the Blood Witch Coven. After he killed their leader - Mahabi, Bloodmother - he followed the rest of the coven deeper into the caves of the Temple of Baphomet were he got overwhelmed after being heavily wounded by Mahabi. Out of the deeper level of the cave he ordered Redmane and the other Reckoners to fight at his side but Redmane stopped the other Reckoners, for Lebos has gone insane and his death would be the best for Minotaurs of the Stormland. If this secret would come out he would have to kill those who unraveled it or he would have to make sure that the other Reckoners who were there with him die including him under false pretence for their reasonign to not endangour the trust put into the Reckoners.
If the secret comes out and he does not fully trust those who revealed it, he would kill them.
If he would trust the people who revealed it he would try to make sure the other whitnesses die to be then openly executed under the pretense that he was controlled by a dark power like Baphomet, to take the secret with him into the grave.

History
edit edit source- Redmane was trained by a noble from Riesbruck in the time of peace under Mina and Lebos. He rose to power and fame before becoming one of 5 Reckoner bodyguards for Lebos, now known as Archreckoners. During this time he also served as an advisor to the king. He was respected by every Minotaur and other humanoid alike for his deep understanding of the arcane. He was always more of a spellcaster than a fighter, famous for a terryfiyng Lighning rebuke. People called him "the Mirror" for his incredible capability's to use Lightning Rebuke. He followed Lebos to the Sisterend Peak when Mina died. As he arrived at the top his face was burned by a magical explosion, created by a stranger in red robes, disfiguring him for live. He was not able to magically reduce the incoming damage even though he tried and not healing so far was powerfull enough to heal his scars. He saw the stranger disappear through a powerful portal between two pillars on Sisterend Peak and an old elf woman with burning hair flee while Lebos was occupied with representatives of some kind of cult.
- Redmane stayed true to his kind Lebos, even through the times when Lebos started the battle at Hornschlacht. He was there when Lebos attacked the Woodfoot Clan at Woodmans Call. Lebos ordered every Minotaur of the clan to be executed but Redmane convinced him that the children should be insted mutilated by cutting out their tongue. A terrible recommendation but at least the young ones would keep their lives, for Lebos would not have accepted to let them go free even though his hate against the clan was nothing more than a result of his growing madness.
- Many years followed under the mad rule of Lebos until they finally found a hint leading to one of the conspirators of Mina's death. Lebos and his bodyguards chased a group of cultists to a cave now known as the Temple of Baphomet. In the cave they fought side by side against the enemy, magic slinging foes until Lebos early in the fight killed the old, female elf with the burning hair. The huge rest of the cult fled deeper into the cave and Lebos sprinted after them with a speed unknown to man, filled with rage. Knowing how many of these magically gifted enemy's were left, Redmane stopped the remaining 4 Reckoners from perusing him. Everybody knew that Lebos would die if they would not help him but also every single one understood that he would most likely be the end to Minotaur Society if he survived, for the red cloaked one was still out there. After the cave went silent some time later, Redmane and the other survivors went down and found the body of Lebos, skinned, in a corner next to an inactive portal. To protect the Reckoner clan they brought down the part of the cave and Redmane did cast a seal of Lightning rebuke on the wall of stone, so no one would ever find the Corpse of Lebos to investigate what happened.
